SEAMS NEED TO PUT UP WITH A LOT – OURS CAN

Seams are a science in themselves. They keep things together, keep things in shape, have to put up with tremendous stresses and be stretchy as well. As soon as they start to develop designs and cuts, our clothing engineers already take into account what stresses will occur on which parts of the fabric later on, and choose absolutely the right seam for each one. Seams with IQ have been helping since 1969 to make sure that HAKRO lasts.

29 SEAM VARIATIONS

The higher the stress, the more elastic a seam needs to be. Seam collars aren't alone in having a lot to put up with in daily working life; side seams and wrist cuffs are also exposed to high pulling forces. We have a total of 29 different seams, from which we choose the right ones for every fabric and stress. We use an average of 250 metres of quality yarn for every item of clothing. The high stitch density makes our seams especially tear-proof and hard-wearing.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE YARN

It makes sure that what belongs together stays together, must never tear, and certainly never twist. A responsible job, and one that we only use brand yarns for. These yarns are made by twisting two or more threads together, which makes the yarn even more tear-proof. Brand yarns also make sure that our seams are absolutely colourfast, and will happily cope with frequent washing.

BUTTONS WITH A LIFETIME GUARANTEE

Although we are generally pretty much straight down the line, we made the decision to sew our buttons on in cross-stitches. It looks nicer and holds better. And that's not all: we also secure the knot twice at the end. We give you a lifetime guarantee that you will never lose this button. Incidentally, we also pay the same amount of care to the buttonholes, button plackets and side slits.
